You probably have no trouble finding the obvious prospects for your network marketing business. What if I told you that there were dozens of prospects you encounter every day but don’t even notice? Don’t feel badly. Learning how to spot prospects is a bit of an art.
You have to seize every opportunity, every day. You’ll find plenty of prospects that way but it takes work and dedication.
Do you talk to people when you are out running errands or enjoying yourself? If you don’t, you’re missing out and holding back your business. Use the 5 foot rule to help you gauge when to reach out. If there is someone within five feet of you, speak to them. It can be something nondescript, like the weather, that’s fine.
After you have broken the ice, gauge whether they seem receptive to ongoing conversation. Ask a question like “what do you do for a living?” Depending on how they respond, see if you can’t continue the conversation. They may hint, or even outright state, that they are ready for a new opportunity to come along.
If they say yes, you’re golden! That’s a prospect right there. Tell them something like “I have something I think you might want to look at. Would you be interested?” At this point you follow up by giving them a website to visit, or by taking their card or information so you can call them with information later.
That wasn’t complicated, was it? Imagine how many people you’ll be talking to if you use the 5 foot rule all of the time. There are dozens of opportunities every single day! Even if you set a more modest goal, like talking with 5 people each day, you’ll see a major difference.
If you spoke to even five new people each day, how do you think that would affect your network marketing business? You’d have a lot more prospects in line that is for sure! Your business would take off exponentially. They might even refer their friends to you as well.
Start using that 5 foot rule the next time you are out. You can’t be shy if you want to grow your business. Your network marketing prospects will multiply so quickly you’ll hardly believe it. Along with this, your income will almost certainly skyrocket.
