All of Market America’s products have a point value associated with them, and the distributor accrues these points in the compensation plan until they get paid a commission once they reach a certain point.
These points are very close to the dollar value for each product, so they accumulate pretty quickly. But that’s not the only way distributors make money.
Distributors can also earn profits from retail sales – so they can make immediate money when they sell Market America products.
Unlike most network marketing companies, there is no purchase requirement for the distributor – only sales requirements, which is actually a requirement of the US government, not Market America itself.

I tend to agree with this – and frankly I’d be skeptical of any company that does not think it has the best products!

A third way distributors can get paid is through their website, which the company terms as the “Mall Without Walls.” Market America likens this website to a franchise.
Their internet franchise concept has grown into a super-affiliate program, where you can actually shop at thousands of major stores from their website and get paid for those sales as well. They even offer cash back on almost all purchases made from their website – kind of like a little rewards program. This is actually a great incentive for the distributor’s customers, and is really a unique concept among Network Marketing companies.
Of course, one of the most important things to look at with any business is its track record of success. Market America has been in business since 1992, and after viewing its annual report, which has been made public, they have had continuous growth since its inception.
The bottom line on this company is that yes, Market America is a legitimate home business opportunity. But with its wide range of products and services, and its unique compensation structure, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the right marketing training to build the business.
